The project is conceived in a urban scale. The site is located between the streets Sagrera, Berenguer de Palou, Riera d’Horta, and the new street of the Station. The construction of the intermodal station, will bring an expectaculary increasing in the activities of the neighbourhood. The creation of a complex railway system in Sant Andreu-Sagrera will be compatible with the improvement of the existing neighbourhoods and the implantation of new economic and residential activities.
The future near park of 43 hectares and 4 kilometres long, will be the largest urban park in Barcelona. The public space of the park will be supported by this new neighbourdhood.

A global strategies and reflections give us a local tool to work with.
For this reason, the connectión with the main roads of the city is so important.
In this area three diferent hatchare mixed. Firstly, the unfinished establishment of the Cerdà plan, secoundary, the street that continues the way to the stations, and thirdly the old trace of the settlement of San Andreu.
The sustainability in our site is about all, a social sustainability. We incorporate the density as a variable wich activates to the area. But the density wouldn’t be homogeneous.
We propose a hight density neighbourdhood. On one hand, we think that density increases daily life in the city, it makes the city more lively. On the other hand an homogeneus distric makes a boring and a plane city. Then, our proposal mixes different low/hight densities at the same block.

We propose a neighbourhood of blocks with courtyard. Thinking about the courtyard means to design the emptiness, to establish the size of the buildings, to determine the distance between them, we work at the same time with fullness and with emptiness.
The courtyards are used to connect the urban life, the park, the housing, the workshop, with the city. We understand that working with the courtyards is the same as working with the section. The section connects the diferent ways to live the houses, the locals, the workshops,...
The courtyards are spaces of transition between inside-outside and public-private. Theese two categories are dificult to establish and se believe that nowadays spaces like elevators, stairs, halls, glances over the windows have been turned into social spaces.
The courtyards are places to pass through and where the relationships between “urbanitas” takes place. The courtyard’s walls convert their own material into the passages of the histories of the people who live “besides the walls”, and into the unstable relationship between residents, between the inhabitant of the same housing.

The project tries to take in several situations and to define its own singularity.
We want to mix different scales in the same neibourhood, and a occupation with diferent densities.
The occupation in plan and section is sistematic. We manage at the same time three concepts: the funtional-structure scenary, the human activities that take place inside, and the architectural form.
We use method, that has to be flexible and it mast allow the architect to decide the best option from those many that the method finds out.
Shapping is at the same time a work of programmatic occupation and a work over emptiness, fullness, sizes,as well as a human and perceptive work.
The courtyard appearas a great potential places for urban relations and as transition spaces between the inside at the public space.
The idea of growing up in certain points comes out as a way of taken place in the city and in the landscape at the same time. They become points where the occupations densifies attending to the vertical acumulation but that spogies at ending to the horizontal plans. The towers have to take place in the landscape through their height, their viewing sea-mountain and in the block attending to the inside scales and the outside empties in order to avoid big shadows.
